Wander Like a Human

I like Mark Cuban. I think his POV on skills of the future is spot on. We are automating ourselves out of jobs. So, it makes perfect sense to develop and focus what can't be automated: creativity and critical thinking.

Our 24/7 culture is dependent on we as humans behaving like machines. We demand more and more of ourselves and employees, yet these efforts are draining the skills unique to humans - creativity and thinking.

If it's been said once, it's been said a thousand times: new ideas are hard to come by. Perhaps the reason is because we aren't giving our brains time to act like humans but rather expecting machine-like capabilities.

Slow down, put the phone down and give yourself time to wander into a new idea.
